For my first spotlight, I had to give it to none other than Amimiya Sensei! The above titles are some of my faves, but aside from their storytelling - I love their art style.

Once you get into their work, you'll notice that many of the dark-haired guys look strangely familiar...but other than that, I am a huge fan of watercolors, and I think their style reminds me of that. If I could, I'd very much hang up one of these works over my desk!

Amimiya does a great job of building tension between MCs and I often find myself staying in the moments they create because I want them to last a little longer. Amimiya seems like an artist first and what they're able to visually convey makes it so I stay on a page way longer than a text-heavy manga. Though the payoff isn't always as grand as my American heart wants, each manga so far has always delivered.

I haven't read all of their high school/school life titles because I tend not to when they are 18+, but I still highly recommend checking out their work!
